- Essential — covers online play only, plus several free games each month.
- Extra — the mid-tier plan; everything above plus a library of up to 400 free games.
- Deluxe — the most complete plan; adds 2–5 hour trials of new games and a catalog of classic games.
For most games bought on disc or downloaded from the PlayStation Store, you will need a PlayStation Plus membership to play online.
Most free-to-play games, such as Fortnite, Apex Legends and Call of Duty Warzone, do not require a membership.
To downgrade your membership plan:
- On PS4 or PS5: Account Settings → Manage Subscriptions
- On the web: sign in to your PlayStation Network account and visit Manage Subscriptions
The downgrade takes effect after your current paid period ends.
If you have no active membership: a PlayStation Plus voucher gives you access to Essential for the period stated on the voucher. A PlayStation Now voucher gives access to Deluxe for a period equivalent to the voucher's cash value.
If you are an existing member: the voucher converts into an equivalent-value period on your current plan.
The games available to PlayStation Plus members are refreshed monthly across all three tiers.
